About The Book
Nina Dial has been given a gift she doesn’t want. It is a gift she must learn to control and use for the good of others before it takes over her life. After the accidental death of her friends, five-year-old Nina begins a relationship with their spirits. She has fun with them as they fill a need in her young life. As she gets older, Nina’s imaginary friends cause havoc for her at school. She gets bullied and is lonely for real friends. The daughter of a local clergyman becomes her friend, but in time, Nina’s parents become concerned and take steps to understand their daughter.
These steps include visits to a psychiatrist and a priest. As Nina grows, she learns to deal with her spirit friends. In middle school, she becomes involved with friends who lead her down a dangerous path. In high school, a school mishap reveals that Nina’s gift can be positive.
